Selma native Kristy Lee Cook, among top finishers on American Idol, will be the guest of honor during a special welcoming party at Ray’s Food Place in Selma.
The festivities - including a barbecue, music and children’s games - will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 on the parking lot.
Cook, who emerged among the top seven contestants on the Fox TV national talent show, will greet fans and sign autographs, said Grant Lunde, marketing manager for C&K Market/Ray’s Food Place.
