Illinois Valley Lions Club hosted several hundred children for its annual free Easter Egg Hunt in Jubilee Park on Sunday, March 23. Besides placing candy and hard-cooked eggs in the grass, the club put out 154 $1 cash eggs, 75 prize eggs for toys, and 12 grand prize eggs for Easter baskets.

K-9 Felon with Cpl. Ray Webb of Josephine County Sheriff’s Office was present, with Sheriff Gil Gilbertson. Illinois Valley Fire District gave ‘tours’ of its first-run Cave Junction engine, and the I.V. Lions train provided free rides. Plus, the Easter Bunny was on hand.
