Wednesday, Jan. 16

*A man drinking beer, brand not listed, was said to be belligerent when asked to leave the lobby of Siskiyou Community Health Center around 9 a.m. His behavior was called disturbing to other patients.

*An injured dog was wandering on Redwood Hwy. near Wild Park Lane just before 6 p.m. Its owner could not be located. Animal Control was notified.

*Reportedly stolen property was found on Rockydale Road. The owner was to be contacted.

*Unusual people pulled down a Stop sign and filled the posthole on E. River Street at Lewis Court. Cave Junction Public Works was advised.

*An unsecured residence on Hanby Lane was checked. There was no indication of criminal mischief.

*A driver reported having to remove tree branches from the 700 block of Deer Creek Road at 11:17 p.m.

*Otis Jones, 54, was cited to appear on a charge of second-degree criminal trespassing at 11:47 p.m. at the Cave Junction Post Office.

Thursday, Jan 17

*A woman reported losing a purse containing two rings, a checkbook, and personal ID at a Cave Junction store.

*A Cave Junction woman complained that she was not getting mail she believed is going to a box formerly shared with her mother-in-law.

*On Floyd Lane at 2:12 p.m., a woman reported that a balding man in a dark-colored Suzuki came up her driveway. He said that he was looking for a “mystical person who knows about Indians.” He left quickly when it became apparent she was not alone at the residence.

*On Lakeshore Drive a new set of dentures was reported stolen. Suspect information with teeth in it was provided.

*Dillon L. Scott, 19, was cited for lack of an operator’s permit and warned about failure to dim headlights on Redwood Hwy. near milepost 25 at 7:30 p.m.

*Deputies happened upon a burglary in progress on Crickett Lane around 8:15 p.m. The would-be thief fled the scene on foot after wrecking his pickup truck.
