Icy roadways caused problems during the past several days in and around Illinois Valley. An unidentified couple (bottom left) was stuck for a time after their car slid into a ditch in Downtown Selma on Thursday, Dec. 27. On the same day, a pickup truck (bottom right) driven by Selma resident Jessica E. Newell, 23, rolled on Redwood Highway near milepost 23, said Oregon State Police. She was cited on charges of driving while suspended and lack of insurance. Mixed rain and snow are predicted through next week. (Photos by Illinois Valley Fire District Media Dept. and I.V. News
