Holiday gig by Dell’Arte Saturday

On Saturday Dec. 1 at 7 p.m. the Dell’Arte theater troupe will bring its free Christmas show to Lorna Byrne Middle School in Cave Junction.
The show, The Hunting of the Snark, is a musical
comedy based on a poem by Lewis Carroll, author of Alice in Wonderland. Although there is no admission charge, Dell’Arte asks that attendees bring a canned food donation for a local food bank. And a hat will be passed at the end of the show.
“Many in Takilma know about Dell’Arte,” said a production aide, “but those new to the community are encouraged to attend this original and very funny theatre troupe’s performance.” Dell’Arte is a European style physical theater school, based near Arcata, Calif. The Dell’Arte Players Company has represented the USA in theater festivals around the world since the 1970s.
