Thursday, Nov. 1
*More than 17 “Stop” signs within Cave Junction city limits had been spray-painted, it was reported.
*Some $200 damage was reported to a door at a business in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. in Downtown Cave Junction. No entry was gained by the vandals.
*Prescription medication was reported stolen from a Kerby residence.
*Prescription medications were reported stolen from the caller’s bedroom in the 37000 block of Redwood Hwy. .
*The mother of a 6-year-old said that a relative pushed the girl down. The caller was advised about restraining order options.
Friday, Nov. 2
*Jewelry that had been bagged to take to a safe deposit box was reported stolen from a N. Junction Avenue residence.
*A protester was said to be hurling threats against the owner of a Cave Junction business and his family.
*Several computers were reported taken from a Lakeshore Drive residence.
*An Airport Drive resident reported theft of a Toyota pickup truck, an ATV, a chainsaw and others tools.
*Someone threw a rock through the front window, a S. Kerby Avenue resident reported at 7:49 p.m.
*A Cave Junction resident reported receiving threatening phone calls.
Saturday, Nov. 3
*Nikone Souvanna Meuanghane, 51; and Soukane Khounboulom, 36, were cited on charges of mushroom harvesting without permits on a U.S. Forest Service Road off Caves Hwy.
*Responding to a 911 hang-up call from Patton Bar Road at 10:36 a.m., an officer found an open front door and no one home. The residence was secured.
Sunday, Nov. 4
*At 2:30 a.m. a S. Kerby Avenue resident said that a prowler was knocking on windows and doors. After she replaced an exterior lightbulb, she felt better.
*On Sucker Creek Road a driver was warned for failure to wear his seatbelt, and his mushroom permit was checked.
*Stella S. Summers was cited for driving without an operator’s permit on Sucker Creek Road at 2:50 p.m.
*Seng L. Saechao, 47, was cited off Sucker Creek Road at 3:30 p.m. for lacking a mushroom harvest permit
*A report of reckless endangering was referred to the county D.A. after a rollover accident off Reeves Creek Road which injured three children.
*Randall S. Kelly, 46, was cited on a charge of having switched license plates on a vehicle following a rollover accident in the 1500 block of Sucker Creek Road.
*“Skitzo” and “flipping out,” a woman was said to be arguing with her daughter who wanted her to leave her Millie Street residence at 5 p.m.
*A tan-colored vehicle with its lights on had been sitting on Three Mill Road for almost an hour, a resident complained. A deputy was unable to locate the vehicle.
*Three people were warned about hours at Illinois River “Forks” State Park at 7:50 p.m. They left.
*Christopher J. Dulong, 35, was cited on a charge of DUII on S. Redwood Hwy. in Downtown CJ at 7:50 p.m. He was lodged in Josephine County Jail on a warrant charging probation violation, and his vehicle was impounded.
*Contacted during a traffic stop on Redwood Hwy. near Rockydale Road, Rachel M. Wood, 25, was arrested on a Del Norte County warrant charging failure to appear.
*David Smith was cited on a charge of driving while suspended (DWS), and without insurance. He was warned for having a white light to the rear, and his vehicle was impounded.
Monday, Nov. 5
*A large white dog was running in traffic in Downtown CJ at 12:26 a.m.
*An 8-year-old boy was reported cussing, yelling and tearing up a Cave Junction home at 7:39 a.m., and his mother wanted him removed.
*There was an estimated $1,200 damage to a subdivision gate on Schumacher Street, according to a caller.
*William Judson Burdette Jr., 30, was cited on a charge of having an obscured license plate and warned for having a white light to the rear and failure to carry registration on Holland Loop at 7:10 p.m.
*Bryan J. Studebaker, 25, was cited for failure to obey a traffic control device on Redwood Hwy. at Sixth Street in Kerby at 8:50 p.m.
*Sara D. Spliethof, 20, was cited on a charge of DWS violation.
Tuesday, Nov. 6
*The Illinois Valley High School student body was to hear a lecture on “pranks” after a bomb threat was discovered on a toilet seat cover in a girls restroom.
*A hunter reported finding his stolen motorcycle in the woods.
*Mitchell Thornton, 20, was cited on charges of DWS violation and expired registration following a
vehicle-into-ditch accident on Redwood Hwy. at Finch Road at 5:12 p.m.
*Nathan A. Smith, 32, was cited on a charge of speed racing in Downtown Cave Junction at 8 p.m.
*On Lone Mountain Road a prowler was heard attempting to open a car door and fleeing into woods nearby at 9:41 p.m.
