Loretta Emma Herr
O’Brien resident Loretta Emma Herr, 94, died Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 at a Grants Pass nursing home.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Oct. 17 beginning at 1 p.m. at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Cave Junction. Interment will follow at Laurel Cemetery in Cave Junction.
Illinois Valley Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Margery Joan Burklacich
Margery Joan Burklacich, 72, of Cave Junction, died Saturday Sept. 29, 2007 at her home.
No services will be held. Grants Pass Funeral Alternatives is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Burklacich was born Sept. 20, 1935 in Winthrop, Wash. She grew up in the Applegate area of Josephine County. She lived in Medford and Grants Pass, but primarily lived in Reno, Nev., and Cave Junction most of her life.
She married Forrest “Jack” Stroh on Feb. 4, 1961. They later divorced, and he died in 2002. She married Michael Burklacich in 1972 in Reno. He survives.
She worked as a meat wrapper for more than 30 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union, United Food and Commercial Workers Local #457-A.
She loved animals, especially her dogs and wildlife.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Jackie Zmak, of Reno; two brothers, Marion Nichols, of Cave Junction, and Ted Nichols, of Rogue River; a sister, Natalie Mitchell, of Cave Junction; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Jenny Stroh, died in 1961.
