NO SAVOR FLAVOR - Siskiyou Community Health Center (SCHC) regretfully has canceled the second annual wine tasting and auction planned for July 21 at Bridgeview Vineyards Winery. Said Judi Hill, SCHC community liaison, “A couple of weeks ago we realized the effect that not-for-profit fund-raising is having on our communities. The proceeds from Savor the Valley were to go to children’s medical and dental services. There are so many worthy causes out there, and people just can’t give to every one of them. We (the board of directors executive committee and the administration team) had to make a very hard decision. We appreciate all the support Grants Pass and Illinois Valley give SCHC, and we want to be good stewards of that support. We appreciate our major sponsors: Bridgeview Vineyards Winery, Home Valley Bank, Premier West Bank, Fire Mountain Gems, and Southern Oregon Public TV.”
