Friday, April 20
*There was a 6:04 a.m. call from Hogue Drive during which a woman said there was a trespasser in her home; then she had to hang up to calm her kids. It turned out to be a domestic dispute between the caller and a house guest. The latter was taken to Cave Junction to avoid further problems.
*After being out of sight for four days, a man on Lower River Road in rural Grants Pass was found not breathing, and he was blue.
*Similar to an earlier incident at the county’s Lake Selmac Park, brazen thieves cut the lock to a yurt at Schroeder Park in rural GP and removed items valued at $370.
*At the scales along Hwy. 199 (Redwood Hwy.) in Selma, a deputy contacted a motorist, who wanted help because “bad checks” had been passed at his business. He was given civil options advice.
*After being seen “possibly urinating” near the Cave Junction Branch Library, a man, 36, was contacted at the Illinois Valley Substation. The man, described as emotionally disturbed, didn’t think he had done anything wrong because the library was closed.
*Dang burglars entered a residence in the 10000 block of Hwy. 46 (Caves Hwy.) and removed $1,550 worth of tools while the tenant was gone for a week.
*A woman went to the I.V. Substation to ask about a problem with a neighbor and a fence she says is on her property. She was advised of her options.
*A woman was warned about failure to obey a traffic control device at Hwy. 199 and E. Watkins Street.
*Neighbors on E. River Street had a disagreement about their dogs.
*Theft from a mailbox on Norman Road was reported by a man who said that missing items include rented movies and important papers. On this morning he opened the box and found rocks, a whiskey bottle and a hate letter. It was not noted if the bottle was empty.
*An erratic driver, possibly intoxicated, was reported on Hwy. 199 in Selma at 3:04 p.m.
*Theft on Jonathan Court off Hwy. 46 was the subject of a complaint.
*Following a 911 hang-up call from Finch Road an intoxicated woman was told to contact her parole officer.
*There was a call from White Schoolhouse Road that a man with a history of depression and alcohol use had not returned from an errand. Later it was determined that he had gone to the V.A. Medical Center in Roseburg.
*Subsequent to officers responding to Happy Camp Road after a report that a woman had been assaulted when she got between a man and his wife, who were in “a verbal,” Christopher R. Caldwell, 35, was arrested under a warrant. It charged failure to appear on a charge of fourth-degree assault. Regarding the reported incident, charges of fourth-degree assault were referred to the D.A.
*At Hwy. 199 and Rockydale Road a man was warned about speeding and failing to stop before entering a roadway.
*Stacie L. Skinner, 44, was cited on a charge of driving 70 mph in a 55 zone on Rockydale Road at 7:08 p.m.
*A man near milepost 34 of Hwy. 199 was going to be camped there until May 1.
*The suspect in an assault outside a bar earlier in the month was at the bar. He has a shaved head, and was gone when a deputy arrived.
*At the National Guard Armory in Merlin, a man, 18, was warned at 11:20 p.m. about trespassing.
*On S. Junction Avenue at 11:41 p.m. a boy, 13, was vomiting, incoherent and grumbling. He was put back to bed.

Monday, April 23
*Michael Angel Johnson, 27, was arrested on Jump Off Joe Creek Road after a 4:49 a.m. call. He was charged with domestic menacing.
*It seemed that a gate problem caused an alarm at Dave’s Outdoor Power Equipment at 6:13 a.m.
*Theft of $1,700 cash after a break-in was reported at The Coffee Pot in Merlin.
*Three men placed a woman into a vehicle and took her for medical care from Hummingbird Road in connection with a prescription drug. She took at least nine pills, it was stated, and a hospital person told one man that the dose could be fatal.
*“Significant damage” and lane blockage were reported at Hwy. 199 and Deer Creek Road at 7:57 a.m. American Medical Response noted that no one was transported.
*Theft of $580 worth of fishing equipment from a boat on a driveway was complained about in rural GP.
*Continuing problems with vandals removing “Stop” signs were noted by a man on W. Watkins Street, who added that he awoke this morning when someone was kicking his screen door. He arose in time to see a group running away.
*Transients were thought to be the culprits after nails were left on a driveway on Illinois River Road.
*A Selma resident wanted it known that an employee at a Selma business might be using numbers on credit cards that don’t belong to him to purchase items. He said that his son charged $15, but the bill showed charges for another $400.
*Some $3,000 damage to a 1995 Cadillac occurred in the 28000 block of Hwy. 199, a complainant said. He added that he chased off a group of transients before noticing the damages.
*Landlord harassment was reported by a man who lives in the 9000 block of Takilma Road.
*A reported trespassing situation on Warren Road was to be resolved.
*Burglary on Krauss Lane was said to involve various items worth approximately $650. The miscreants kicked in doors for their deed.
*Damage was estimated at $250 after someone threw a rock through a car window on Schumacher Street.
*Violation of a restraining order was claimed by a man on Pinewood Way after a woman pulled onto his driveway.
*After a Grants Pass women picked up her runaway daughter, 16, from the Juvenile Justice Center, the girl ran away again.
*A.K. Lackey, 51, was cited on a charge of littering on Deer Creek Road.
*Although a complainant reported mutual slapping by a couple in a van in CJ, the woman involved said it was verbal only. Jeena T. Watson, 33, was cited under a warrant charging contempt of court.
*Burglary was reported on Reagor Lane.
*A girl on Rockydale Road said that her mother hit her and kicked her out of the house. She added that her mom was going to report her as a runaway person, but that she is not.
*People in some sort of reported disturbance at 9:41 p.m. in Jubilee Park were not located.
*Near milepost 23 of Hwy. 199 at 10:19 p.m. a deputy removed debris from the roadway.

Thursday, April 26
*Jubilee Park and “Forks” Park were checked around 1:30 a.m.
*A business in Kerby was checked at 2:58 a.m. after an alarm, but apparently all was OK.
*Someone entered a home on N. Old Stage Road through a kitchen window and took several items.
*Two counts of domestic menacing and menacing were charged against Theodore Crocker, 47, following a call that he had fired at least five gunshots during an incident at his home.
*Several incidents of harassment involving rocks thrown at his house were complained about by a man on Schumacher Street.
*Jewelry, alcohol, cash and prescription drugs valued at more than $5,000 were reported stolen on Mesa Verde Drive by someone with a key to the front door.
*People keep stealing items from a yard in the 9000 block of Takilma Road, a complainant said.
*All was secure at a Lakeshore Drive home after an alarm at 2:36 p.m.
*Hobbit Wolf Stargazer, 49, was arrested on a charge of fourth-degree domestic assault after a call from a woman on Reeves Creek Road at 7:20 p.m.
*Damage to his car’s front window at E. River Street and S. Old Stage Road was reported by a resident, who said that a man struck it with a golf club.

Saturday, April 28
*At 2:05 a.m. a man was so upset at whoever threw a rock through a large window on N. Junction Avenue that he said he’d kill him.
*A man with short, curly hair was reported with his pants down at 5:59 a.m. on W. Lister Street. Lonnie A. Bourgo, 46, was arrested under a warrant charging failure to comply with terms of probation in connection with private indecency. He also was cited on a charge of possession of less than 1 ounce of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
*A loose horse tried to attack him, said a man on Holland Loop. The owner’s girlfriend came and retrieved the animal.
*Tenants possibly are stealing his property and damaging his buildings in Selma, said a man claiming to be the landlord.
*Supposedly a stolen motorcycle was in the rear of a pickup truck near Kerby, but the matter was termed civil in nature. The caller said he’d try to get his ‘cycle back without a physical confrontation.
*Despite a 6:11 p.m. call that there was a disturbance in Jubilee Park, all appeared OK at the scene.
*Trespassing by a neighbor was claimed at 7:54 p.m. by a man on Westside Road. He said that the woman involved yelled at him.
*In Selma, Matthew L. Rieman 44, was cited at 11:23 p.m. on a charge of driving while suspended.
Sunday, April 29
*A reported suspicious incident on Pinewood Way turned out to be not much.
*A “Stop” sign was down at Watkins Street and Kerby Avenue.
*Someone claimed that broken glass was placed on a driveway on W. Schumacher Street so that car tires would be punctured.
*A tire on Hwy. 199 and Lister Street was removed by a deputy.
*Corinna Culbertson, 30, was cited in Selma on charges of driving uninsured and not having a driver’s license.
*The driver of a black Porsche with Alabama license plates was reported speeding and making “bad passes” on Hwy. 199 in Kerby at 12:08 p.m.
*A young girl reportedly ran from her home on Lamont Way and might be in Jubilee Park.
*A man “trespassed” from a CJ store wouldn’t leave. Then he did.
*In CJ, Michael R. Stanley, 48, was cited on a charge of no liability insurance and no driver’s license. His vehicle was impounded.
*Two boys on an ATV were “trespassed” from property on Oak Drive.
*In connection with a business eviction in Selma, a man stated that his son had been threatened with a shotgun. The incident was termed unfounded as a crime.
*At Ray’s Food Place in Selma a would-be “shoplifter” dropped items and ran.
*Canine abuse was reported in the 28000 block of Hwy. 199.
*Some 40 rounds were said fired on Norman Road.
*“Small explosions” were reported at Tycer Crossing, but apparently there was no emergency.
*Domestic violence involving grabbed hair was reported in the 200 block of Hwy. 46. A report was said to be pending.
