Wednesday, April 4
*Based on information from a parent whose 17-year-old daughter might have been involved, a Medford man, 26, admitted to having arranged over the Internet to spend the night in Cave Junction with three young women who reportedly told him “they were all over 18.” Unable to identify the potential victims, a crime wasn’t determined.
*Although nothing appeared to have been removed, two windows were reported broken at a residence on Tracy Lane, plus a wall was damaged and things rummaged through.
*Takilma Road residents reported that an arrestee in Louisiana had evidently used their debit card, and they filed a report of fraud.
*Some $2,000 damage was reported to a beverage machine on E. Watkins Street. The stupid vandals reportedly made off with around $40 in change.
*Antique tractor parts valued at $3,000 were reported stolen from a Garner Road address.
*On Hogue Drive a man said that his neighbor jumped a fence, pushed him, and spit in his eye. He refused medical aid, although he reported that the eye was burning. He requested that the other man be warned about his actions.
*Edwin Obed Scott, 40, was cited in I.V. on a Grants Pass warrant charging failure to appear (FTA) on a contempt of court charge.
*David James Parker, 47, was cited on a charge of FTA on an original burglary charge. Parker was lodged in Josephine County Jail.
Thursday, April 5
*At 10:30 a.m. two helmetless boys on a bicycle were traveling south in I.V. on Redwood Hwy. Asked why they were not in school they stated they’d missed the bus. Their parents could not be reached. They were warned about wearing helmets and riding on bicycle handlebars.
*The apparent victim of an assault, said to have occurred at Jubilee Park just before 7 p.m., was transported to Three Rivers Community Hospital.
*Around 7 p.m. a caller noted considerable traffic around a red SUV which had been parked for 45 minutes behind a CJ bar. The caller “just assumed” the vehicle’s occupants were dealing drugs.
Friday, April 6
*Four or five teen-aged boys were thought by one caller to be responsible for some “Stop” signs which had been knocked down overnight in Cave Junction.
*On Dick George Road a caller said that some people in a pickup truck made threats to her in her driveway.
Saturday, April 7
*Yelling and harassing customers, a man believed to be intoxicated was refusing to leave a CJ parking lot.
*Young kids riding an ATV on the parking lot of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in CJ bothered a caller at 5 p.m.
*Following a disturbance on S. Kerby Avenue, Clemente Polk, 35, was cited on a charge of domestic menacing and lodged in county jail.
*Raven A. Mistretta, 16, was cited on a charge of being beyond parental control and lodged at the Juvenile Justice Center in Grants Pass.
Sunday, April 8
*A reckless driver in a two-tone Buick was reported northbound on Redwood Hwy. from Selma.
*Around 11:30 p.m. someone was “peeling out” and driving back and forth on S. Sawyer Avenue and Lister Street.
Monday, April 9
*Just after 5 a.m. a woman on Dick George Road said that someone was shooting at her house. Several windows appeared to have been broken with rounds from a pellet gun.
*Around 6:30 a.m. a vehicle was discovered having rolled into a yard in the 3000 block of Dick George Road, taking out a telephone power ground and gate post.
*Aluminum with a scrap value of $400 was reported stolen from an Illinois River Road address.
*Some form of disturbance was reported at I.V. Family Resource Center involving an uncooperative woman who was screaming and beating a man.
*Her dogs were attacked by the neighbor’s friend’s dog, said a woman on Pinewood Way. The dog’s owner was said to be irate and someone was threatening the caller’s husband with death.
*His daughter was supplied hallucinogenic mushrooms while staying at a friend’s house, a caller said. He would recontact the sheriff’s office pending the result of a urinalysis he was requiring for his daughter.
*A motorist found napping in his car on Briggs Valley Road at 11:30 p.m. was advised to first pull entirely off the roadway.
Tuesday, April 10
*A W. Lister Street resident said that her neighbor bangs on her door with a bat and has been doing so for the past two years. The neighbor said that she does so to quiet the first woman who has screaming episodes at all hours. The batter was told to phone the sheriff’s office should the screaming resume.
*A resident of W. Lister Street phoned at 1:41 p.m. to say that her neighbor was screaming and yelling again.
*Nine large steers were said wandering on Takilma Road around 3:20 p.m.
*Told to phone whenever the problem arises, a W. Lister Street resident said at 4 p.m. that her neighbor was screaming to herself.
*A man was riding a yellow dirt-bike on the grass at Jubilee Park at 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, April 11
*Todd C. Reneker was arrested on a charge of probation violation and cited on charges of driving under the influence of an intoxicant, driving while suspended, and refusing a blood/alcohol test.
*The owner of a black Jeep Cherokee reported that it was stolen from her Happy Camp Road address.
*Theft of a cell phone from the glovebox of a vehicle parked in the 300 block of S. Redwood Hwy. was reported.
*While using a public telephone in the 200 block of N. Redwood Hwy., someone took her purse from her car parked nearby, a caller said.
*A generator valued at $650 was reported missing from a construction site on Lamont Way.
*Some sort of verbal disturbance occurred on Rockydale Road at 9:30 p.m. All parties separated for the night.
