CONFLICTING INTERESTS - “Colorful Conflict Resolution,” a workshop presented by Soul Canyon Training & Development, will be held Wednesday, April 11, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the IVHS cafeteria. The public is welcome to attend and learn new skills to avoid and handle conflict constructively.

MIXIN’ IT UP - Illinois Valley Chamber of Commerce will hold its next mixer at Eye Care Group, 335 Cave Hwy. Friday, April 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

STROLL WITH PURPOSE - Illinois Valley Safe House Alliance (IVSHA) is sponsoring a “Take Back the Night” event Thursday, April 12 to foster awareness of domestic violence issues. The walk will begin at 6 p.m. in front of the Josephine County Bldg. in Cave Junction, and proceed to Taylor’s Country Store for live music and an open mic. CRAFT SHOW COMING - A craft show at Illinois Valley Senior Center will be held Friday, April 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturday the 14th until 3 p.m. The snack bar will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with hamburgers and Taylor Dogs. There also will be a bake sale of homemade goods, and many tables of crafts.

HOT STUFF! - An “all-you-can-eat” Chili Feed will be held at the Selma Center Saturday, April 14 at 6:30 p.m. Three different recipes, including a vegetarian variety, will be available. The cost is $7.50, which includes homemade breads, salad and dessert.

DIABETES DISCUSSION - “Powerful and proven” lifestyle changes for persons living with Type-II diabetes will be presented in a free information session at the Junction Inn banquet room, Sunday, April 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. Phone 597-4084.

WEED WHACK WAR - A “Weed Identification and Control” class for small acreage land owners is offered by Oregon State University Extension. The class will be held on Tuesday, April 24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the OSU Extension Auditorium, 569 Hanley Road, Central Point and costs $5. NOTEPAD - Coalition for Kids, a Grants Pass nonprofit, is raffling a 2007 Toyota Prius. Only 200 $200 tickets will be sold. Phone 479-1929 ... A Spring Gardening Fair is on tap April 28 & 29 at Josephine County Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
