Stephen G. Wells

Selma resident Stephen George Wells, 83, died Thursday, March 22, 2007 at his home, where he lived with his niece and family.

A private gathering will be held. Interment will be conducted at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, Calif., where he will be placed next to his beloved wife, Ruby.

Mr. Wells was born on March 21, 1924 in Honolulu, Hawaii to George & Laura Wells. He eventually moved to Hawaiian Gardens, Calif., where he met Ruby Pauline Stoddard.

They were married for 25 years before her untimely death in 1995. Mr. Wells then relocated in 1996 to Redding, Calif., and then to Selma in 2004.

Surviving are a foster son, Glen Cox, of Alanto, Calif.; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great-nieces. He also leaves behind a sister-in-law, and a brother-in-law.

Stephens Family Chapel in Grants Pass is in charge of arrangements.

Florence Evelyn Stetz, 86, of Cave Junction, died Thursday, March 29, 2007 at her home in Cave Junction.
