I. V. Lions plan annual hunt for goodies Easter Sunday
More than 3,000 eggs -- including some with special prizes -- will be among attractions at the annual Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by Illinois Valley Lions Club.
The free event will be held “rain or shine” at Jubilee Park in Cave Junction on Sunday, April 8.
The starting horn will blow at 1 p.m. sharp, said Sam Michel, event chairman. There will be hunt areas for children 5 and younger, 6 to 8, and 9 to 12.
Besides the free hunt, the Easter Bunny will be a likely guest. Plus, the I.V. Lions train will provide free rides, and gifts and toys.
Additionally, Illinois Valley Fire District will have units on-scene for children to inspect, and Josephine County Sheriff’s Office will have at least one K-9 unit present.
