Attempted murder suspect captured in valley

Officers from three police agencies converged at a Dick George Road residence Wednesday, March 21 and captured a man charged with two counts of attempted murder.

The suspect is identified as Kenneth G. “Dirk” Snow Jr., 42. He also is known as Derrick Henderson and Benito Juan Casados, said Grants Pass Dept. of Public Safety (GPDPS).

GPDPS joined Josephine County Sheriff’s Office and Oregon State Police at the rural Cave Junction home after a report that the suspect had been seen there.

The suspect ran from the home with officers in foot pursuit. He hid in shrubbery, said GPDPS, until apprehended there by city K-9 Officer “Denny.”

Show was taken to Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass for treatment of minor injuries related to the apprehension, said GPDPS. He was placed in county jail.

Snow is the suspect in a March 17 incident in the city of Grants Pass during which two transient men were stabbed by a man wielding two knives. One man is still at TRCH in critical condition. The other was treated and released.
