Be ready for self-defense with training, weapons

With the impending loss of O&C funds, and the public safety levy also likely to fail, it will be incumbent upon the “citizens” to be prepared to defend themselves, their families and their businesses.
The criminals will not be held in jail; will not be afraid the “Law Enforcement” will come when called for; and will be on the prowl.
I encourage all able-bodied citizens to choose a weapon they can handle, take a weapons safety class, and get a Concealed Weapon Permit. Learn under what circumstances to use that weapon. Find out what your rights are under the law.
You have to be in “fear for your life.” The only deterrent to crime is the fear of “swift-and-just” punishment.
Remember this: The life you save could be yours, your parents or your children. You may stop a rape or robbery.
Don’t be a victim. Dave Toler fears vigilantism -- but I call it “self-defense.”
Wonderful neighbors gain her appreciation

I am so fortunate to have such generous and thoughtful friends, especially Lloydeen Davis, Ronald and Daryl Rossiter, and Junior and Jonnie Crutchfield.
I live a mile above my nearest neighbor, and am without phone and electricity. A cell phone will not work. I use a Coleman lantern for lights, and propane to cook and heat.
Every time Junior Crutchfield comes my way he never fails to stop and wait until I come out and wave at him so he knows I’m OK.
I was trapped with 3 feet of snow in my yard and long driveway; and every day either Ron or Daryl Rossiter came up in their four-wheel-drive vehicles to see if I was OK or needed anything.
I really appreciate my wonderful friends.
Panic City can be avoided with money for sheriff

How would you like to go to work every day and not get paid? Put your life on the line, take on everyone’s problems, work ungodly hours, be there at a moment’s notice, drive your vehicle at dangerous high speeds.
Plus, hope you can make it back home to your wife and family and tell them you just can’t make the rent or house payment, buy good clothes for the kids, or pay medical for the family, to name a few things we need for the basics. Let alone some extra bucks for a little pleasure with the family.
No one should have to live like that, right?
Law enforcement officers in all areas shouldn’t have to either, but it seems as though we are asking them to do just that. They have families too.
So here’s your sign. If we don’t pick up the tab, here is what you’re going to face real soon:
Druggies, felons, etc. are going to run your life for you, and there is nothing you are going to be able to do about it. Rape, robbery, destruction, murder and the like are waiting at your door steps right now.
Once they know that there is no law enforcement and protection for you and your children and grandchildren, property, etc., you will meet them face-to-face in the day and late at night. Probably while you and your children are asleep. Or maybe when you return home to find that most possessions are gone.
I realize that this is a pretty dim picture that I am painting. But it is the truth. Once it starts, it is going to be like trying to stop a runaway freight train.
The street won’t be safe. Just like some bigger California cities. Mass drugs and corruption everywhere you look.
There are going to be some rednecks, including myself, to be left to take care of the problems. And it is going to get ugly, I am very sure. And we are going to get ourselves in a big mess of trouble.
The sheriff’s budget needs to be addressed so that we don’t have to have some mighty bad things on our consciences for a lifetime. I know we will do what we have to do to protect our home and family, but it won’t be pretty.
It will become a definitely miserable life for a long time to come if we don’t do the right thing. And that is to vote “Yes” for a new sheriff’s levy. It is not for the county commissioners. The money goes to law enforcement only.
People need to wake up. Remember the $30,000 for the hunter to hunt cougars? How about having an open season and receive $50 per license so there is income instead of outgo? And numerous other situations.
Josephine County is going down fast because the sheriff isn’t given the money for law enforcement, jail, etc., when we want it to go there first.
We are all in the same boat. Let’s get together and remember these words: Together we stand, divided we fall. This is America; let’s show the world that a small area like Josephine County can and will make it happen.
There is no room for druggies and criminals. Let’s run them out of Josephine County, now. We can do it with a levy ear-marked for law enforcement only.
Libby found ‘guilty’ raises his hackles

One question: Why was Lewis “Scooter” Libby even on trial? It’s a miscarriage of “justice” that raises my hackles.
Valerie Plame Wilson’s CIA status was no secret. Many people knew it, and shared the information. Many reporters were told about the status.
Now reporters and government types all have memory problems. The so-called “CIA leak” is some sort of scapegoat situation designed to make the president look bad.
9-11 a government job,based on her studies

This is in response to William Schneider’s letter to the editor in the Feb. 28 “Illinois Valley News,” discussing discrepancies in the government’s “official” conspiracy story of the events of 9-11-01.
During the last few years I have spent hundreds of hours researching all the material I can find about
9-11. The government's conspiracy version or the “9-11 Commission Report” has more holes than Swiss cheese, and conveniently left out (omitted) key revealing testimony, plus glaring discrepancies on top of that.
For those offended by the suggestion that 9-11 was an “inside job,” or in other words, that rogue elements in the U.S. government, at minimum, played a deliberate role in carrying out the attacks, I beg them to do some historical homework.
For starters, there is “Operation Northwoods” in which the Joint Chiefs of Staff signed off on a military order to blow up U.S. airliners over Cuba (among other tactics) and to blame it on Cuba in order to justify an invasion. Luckily President Kennedy would not go along (and it probably was one of the reasons leading to his assassination).
This type of manipulation is known as “state-sponsored false flag terrorism,” and it is as old a tactic as warfare itself. A book on this subject is 9-11 Synthetic Terror Made in the USA by Webster Tarpley.
In 1967, the USS “Liberty,” with a U.S. flag highly visible in international waters, was allowed to be attacked by Israeli fighter jets and Israeli torpedo boats for several hours. This resulted in 34 dead and at least 171 U.S. servicemen injured from the 294-member crew.
The Sixth Fleet received a distress call from the “Liberty” and sent planes, only to have them recalled by the Whitehouse (President Johnson and Robert MacNamara), as reportedly Johnson wanted “that --- ship sent to the bottom” to create justification for our involvement with helping Israel in the Six-Day War in the Middle East. The plan backfired when a Russian vessel showed up, and thus a cover-up began.
The Project for a New American Century, a neo-con think tank, has as its stated purpose to “promote American global leadership” (aka: The New World Order), and openly advocates for total global military domination. Its membership is made up of neo-cons including Dick Cheney, Scooter Libby, Jeb Bush, Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, Elliott Abrams, Donald Rumsfeld, Zalmay Khalizad, John Bolton, Dan Quayle, and William Kristol.
During September 2000, they released a document, “Rebuilding America’s Defenses.” In it they called for securing resources in the Mideast, namely Persian oil, through military force, stating that gaining support for this venture could be challenging, “absent a catastrophic and catalyzing event like a new Pearl Harbor.”
During 2001, after the Supreme Court put Bush in the Whitehouse, Bush adopted this document as policy and it became referred to as “The Wolfowitz Doctrine.” On Sept. 11, 2001 they had their “new Pearl Harbor event” as President Bush referred to it in his written comment that fateful day.
There is a Website, patriotsquestion911.com, that consists of hundreds of significant people who know for fact that the “official story” of 9-11-01 is a lie and a cover-up. It includes many government people including senators, congressmen, high-ranking military personnel, intelligence agents (FBI and CIA), professors, international heads of state and intelligent agencies, firemen, policemen, survivors and eye-witnesses, and victim’s families.
These people are not “conspiracy wackos, tinfoil hat wearers, or psychologically dysfunctional idiots.” They want a new and truly independent investigation with full access to data, information, and people (without gag orders).
Only a small fraction of money was spent on 9-11 compared to what was spent investigating Bill Clinton (not that I liked him), and only after much resistance from the Whitehouse and persistence from the “Jersey Girls.”
This is not about our one-party state (Democrats vs. Republicans) that is all beholden to the same corporations, or left vs. right. These are false divisions that keep the people conquerable. Fear and psychological apathy are being manipulated all the way to the bank and beyond.
In War is a Racket by Gen. Smedley Butler, the most highly decorated Marine at the time of his death, he reveals how time and again wars are waged on false or exaggerated claims for the benefit of corporations and Wall Street.
To do our civic duty, and question the events of 9-11, we can start with WTC Bldg. 7. Not two, but three high-rise buildings collapsed at free fall speed into a pile of pulverized powder on 9-11, the only time in history that it has happened. WTC 7 was not hit by a plane, and leaseholder Larry Silverstein commented on a PBS documentary in 2003 that they “decided to pull” WTC 7 on 9-11, an industry term for controlled demolition.
The 9-11 Commission Report does not even mention this 47-story building collapsing on 9-11. Those who find out some of what this building contained might be extremely surprised. The truth will set us free.
