Wednesday, March 1
*Here and there throughout the valley, extra patrol was conducted during the wee hours.
*After her soon-to-be ex-roommate punched her in the mouth at 7 a.m. a woman on June Drive sought to press assault charges.
*On E. River Street, a woman said that her purse, containing various forms of ID, was lost when it fell off her car at 8 a.m.
*The windshield of a delivery-type vehicle was smashed at Cave Junction Goodwill on N. Redwood Hwy., causing an estimated $500 damage.
*Unhappy about his vehicle having been towed, a man was yelling and causing problems at Jerry’s Towing yard at 5 p.m.
*One month ago, a man on W. River Street said, he loaned a vehicle to someone for a one-day trip, and they haven’t returned it. The vehicle was reported stolen.
*“Resident error” was said responsible for an alarm on Ollis Road at 8:44 p.m.
Thursday, March 2
*An intoxicated man turned himself in at the Illinois Valley Substation, expecting a deputy to serve him with a warrant charging failure to appear. He was told to return tomorrow.
*In the 8000 block of Deer Creek Road, a woman said tht someone in a red Jeep Cherokee pulled into the driveway, took a photo of her residence and left.
*It was requested that a deputy check on the welfare of a woman in the 28000 block of Redwood Hwy., about whom her daughter had concern.
Friday, March 3
*Stopped on O’Brien Road at 2:44 a.m., Rhonda Gardenhire, 31, was cited on charges of driving with a suspended license (DWS) and driving uninsured. She was also warned for failure to use a turn signal.
*On Tartar Gulch Road in the Holland community, Indica Rebelle, 49, was cited on a charge of unlawfully occupying a mining claim.
*At Shop Smart Food Warehouse, it was reported that a “skinny ‘tweeker’ chick,” who frequently helps herself to items within the store, had taken napkins and a napkin dispenser, valued at $15, from the deli.
*In Selma a man said that his neighbor, for whom he’d like to get some type of psychological help, had phoned to threaten him and his family.
*A man and woman were said to be yelling at one another on Boundry Lane, but all was fine when a deputy responded.
*Two men were reportedly fighting on the parking lot at Oregon Caves Chevron. However they were gone upon deputy arrival.
*On Laurel Road a tenant complained that the landlord had turned off the electricity. The property owner was advised to turn on the power and follow the legal process.
*Gunshots heard on Hummingbird Lane raised concern at quarter to 7 p.m. The shooter was advised to do so in a safe manner.
*Steven Lee Reese, 18, was cited on a charge of minor in possession of alcohol at Illinois Valley High School at 8 p.m.
