Wednesday, Dec. 21
*Some man the caller didn’t know, and who made him uncomfortable, apparently stole a Rolex and cell phone from his Upper Deer Creek Road residence.
*It was suspected that a mechanic set off a motion detector alarm at a business on S. Old Stage Road at 2 p.m.
*Sometime during the past two days, a back porch light was broken and window screen ripped at a White Oak Drive home.
*At 11:15 p.m., a man said that his ex-girlfriend had taken keys from his unlocked pickup truck, and he requested that a deputy tell her to give them back so he could go home.
*On Norman Road, a woman said that a man has repeatedly pulled into her driveway, driving in circles and spinning out, tearing up the dirt.
*Seen headed toward Redwood Hwy. on Lakeshore Drive, the occupants of a blue Geo Storm were said to be speeding, spinning in the mud and throwing beer cans.
*A man on Robinson Corner Road said that someone he believes was impersonating a sheriff’s deputy asked questions about water diversion.
Thursday, Dec. 22
*Returning home at 1 a.m. a man discovered tht his home in the 9000 block of Holland Loop had been burgled. Thieves took a game system, DVDs, $150 and a sword, he said.
*Upset after arguing all night with her husband, a woman on Boundry Lane phoned to say she felt like she needed help.
*A man on Lakeshore Drive reported that a tree was cut overnight on a Christmas tree farm. It was valued at $30, and a report filed for third-degree theft.
*Alerted by barking dogs, a man on Queen of Bronze Drive reported seeing two men climbing the fence at the back of his property. He yelled at them and fired a shot in the air, he said, to scare them off.
*A hold-up alarm at Sterling Savings Bank turned out to be false.
*In the 1000 block of Lakeshore Drive, a woman phoned to say that she’d been verbally sparring with her boyfriend all day, who had been drinking and wanted her to leave, but she had nowhere to go. The caller was otherwise uncooperative about answering questions.
Friday, Dec. 23
*Concerned that her husband was overdue from a “quick trip to town,” a woman on Airport Drive phoned for assistance at 10 after midnight. She phoned again later to say that he’d had a vehicle breakdown, and walked home safely.
*Around 9:30 a.m. a mother on Lakeshore Drive phoned, and while he could be heard yelling, said that her 17-year-old son had broken her bedroom door and was beyond her control. He left on foot; a deputy did not locate him.
*On W. River Street, a man said that a vehicle he’d intended to trade away was taken without permission.
*Although a deputy checked on a report of a motor vehicle accident on Naue Way, it turned out that the vehicle was cold and unoccupied.
*A mother on Lakeshore Drive recontacted police as her 17-year-old was now fighting with his younger brother. A deputy spoke with everyone, and advised them of options.
*Concerning money he felt was owed him by the son of a Mona Drive resident, a man threatened to break into her home if she ever left it, the caller said at 1:12 p.m.
*At 11:30 a.m. a caller from Rough & Ready Lumber Co. reported the theft of two chainsaws.
*Rebecca Lynn Brown, 52, was cited on a charge of driving with a suspended license (DWS) in the 100 block of N. Redwood Hwy. at 2:17 p.m.
*Former tenants were said to have caused $100 damage to an apartment on Schumacher Street.
*In a Kerby neighborhood a man accused two others of stealing a cord of his firewood. They denied it, and a deputy ascertained that the wood they had did not match that of the complainant. Nevertheless, they were warned about trespassing in the area.
