‘Family Coalition grateful to IVHS for food aid
From Carol Ronan, executive director,
I.V. Family Coalition

On the afternoon of Wednesday, Nov. 23, students of Illinois Valley High School delivered several boxes and bags of much-needed food to the Illinois Valley Family Coalition.
The coalition wants to express deep gratitude for being the beneficiary of this food drive.
Our pantry has been empty for more than two months. When hungry families come to us for help, it has been heart-breaking to send them away without food. While there are meal sites in Cave Junction, and a food pantry in Selma, being able to provide food locally for those unable to prepare meals is an invaluable resource to hungry individuals and families in our community.
I hope that the food drive was a fun competition for the students. Even more, I hope that the students understand how much this food is appreciated by those in need.
The students deserve appreciation for what they have accomplished on behalf of the needy in Illinois Valley.

Ruling pleases radical preservationists
From District 3 Rep. Gordon Anderson
(R-Grants Pass)

As you've heard in the news, Oregon's landmark property right’s law, Measure 37, was tossed out by a Marion County judge.
As vice chairman of the House Land Use Committee this year, I helped craft legislation that would clear up issues some felt were
vague, but the Senate refused to compromise.
This new court ruling only clouds the issue to please the radical environmental cause.
The people of Oregon spoke very clearly when they passed Measure 37 by a 60 percent to 40 percent vote. The margin in Josephine County was more than 70 percent in favor. Voters have every reason to be outraged about this latest
development.
The Oregon Supreme Court is speeding up the appeals process to hear the case in January, but it could be another year before this is resolved.
Meanwhile, local governments are trying to sort out the claims process.
This is the second time in the past few years the courts have tossed out a voter mandate on private property rights based on a technicality or some other warped logic. I’m not ready to give up the fight, and I hope that voters aren’t
losing all faith in our initiative system.

Thornhill, staff led IVHS football team to Sportsmanship Award
From Dave Toler
Cave Junction

In a culture that so often awards victory above all else, it’s not easy to remember that life is really not all about whether you win or lose, but how you play the game.

And so it was with tremendous pride that I heard that the Illinois Valley High School football team has earned this season’s Jack Clark Sportsmanship Award -- an award that covers every high school football team in the entire Rogue Valley and Klamath Falls area

Much credit goes to Bobby Thornhill and his coaching staff for being positive role models on the field -- even when they know the officials have made a bad call. Credit must also go to the parents of each I.V. Cougar player who exhibit the kind of values that are truly important.

But, of course, the most credit goes to each Cougar football player who always exhibited a positive attitude, regardless of what the score was or how players on the opposing teams were behaving. These are the kind of great values that will prove to be an incredible asset throughout their lives.

As the representative for Illinois Valley on the Three Rivers School District Board, I am extremely proud of these students. It just goes to show that whether our students are in class or on the football field, the opportunity to practice positive values is all-present.

The Cougars deserve recognition: I’m extremely proud of each of them.

Former commissioner blasts current board
From Tony Corriea
Grants Pass

In my opinion the county commissioners are glorifying the elected officials while discriminating against the employees who service the citizens (voters) of Josephine County.

I believe our present commissioners are the worst we’ve had in years. The board continues to violate our Constitution that was supposedly designed to “make life better” for the people.

It has been a year since the new commissioners took office, and there has been no net positive effect; only a delusion about efficient, open-door policy, county being safe against crime, 24-hour patrol and fully operational jail.

The other delusion is that the commissioners will treat everyone with respect and dignity. Example: The elderly. The board wants to kick them out of the senior center and is going to shut down the Meals on Wheels and has told the Food Bank to go somewhere else for support. We have an uncontrolled board of county commissioners who are supposed to be the people’s elected representative but aren’t.

We as voters can bring about the needed change, as 2006 is election year and it’s up to us as voters to choose how we want to live in Josephine County.

Speaker amplifies fire district comments
From Jim Dougherty
Cave Junction

When I attended the Nov. 7 meeting of Illinois Valley Fire District directors, I didn’t know what to expect. I listened to some concerned people who wanted to be in the know about the rules and what they might be changed to concerning outdoor burning.

The “I.V. News” Nov. 23 story, it seems to me, took some sentences out of context and missed the point of what I was trying to say. It happens.

The reporter quoted me as saying, “I believe the ordinance will encourage residents to rat out each other regarding burn piles.” No, I implied that if the ordinance is passed, some residents won’t purchase permits; thus the fire district might not know when, where or how they are burning, until perhaps a neighbor rats them out.

Mystery burning is not a safe situation, and not a cost-effective scenario for the district, and not in the community’s best interest.

For the record, I believe that the fire district should strongly “encourage” everyone to register for a free permit before burning large piles of legal fuels, not “discourage” citizens by charging for what should be a required district courtesy.

It is more important for the district to be aware of potential burning than to reap a few dollars while alienating a community over an insulting fee after the voters gave their blessings and dollars to all the new fire houses around the valley. Someday the district will need a real sum of money. Will the community be so willing again?

The reporter wrote that I said, “The ordinance would encourage people to dump their debris in the woods.” Perhaps that could happen, but again, I was trying to describe a parallel of progression of how the Kerby dump and the burning dilemma have similarities.

First the dump was free. People had a convenient place to take their stuff; then it was not free, and a lot of scatter can be found at the end of most lonely roads. A good situation to begin with; then the fees; then a problem.

Last, there is a quote in the article by district official that reads, “Landscapers and tree falling companies should have the resident obtain the needed $7.50 permit.” This was put forth by fire district officials as a way for some contractors to not have to pay a $50 commercial burning fee.

When I heard this at the meeting, I knew that all was not well. No resident should assume any potential liabilities of a contracted company doing burning on their property. No burn fee for everyone would serve the community the best.

It’s not so settling for me to criticize the fire district. It has aided me personally and so many others.

They are skilled and dedicated, and at times have such a heart-wrenching and dangerous job.

The Flaw of Civilization
From Raymond Ronald Karczewski©

Man lives in Hell.

It is a Hell of his own making. It is the Hell which emerges within human consciousness when man eschews the Direct Perception of Truth and embraces instead his own parochial ideas of Truth which set him at war, both within himself and without with his neigbor.

All Civilizations from the beginning of time are Satanic Structures formulated by the mind and designed to restrict human behavior according to rigid man-made concepts which compel and punish. It is the birth of SATANIC LAW -- MAN'S LAW.

Mind Controllers, by their very nature, are Satanic in their effect upon the mind of man. The word Satanic means "Opposer". Its essence can be seen in the confusion and conflict born to those possessed of an opposing "dualistic" intellect.

To accomplish control of the masses, THEY, THE PEOPLE, THE MASSES, MUST BE BLINDED TO THE TRUTH. They must be Spiritually Blinded, unable to see the everlasting Truth of WHAT IS, which stands there before their very eyes.

The masses must be seduced into the pleasures and pain of the dualistic intellect. They must prefer the vicissitudes of Life to the everlasting peace which is the legacy of the Spiritually Sighted.

Through hypnosis, the masses are spellbound to their Satanic-structured, BASSACKWARD world. They are addicted to their conditioned beliefs while Truth is all around them but cannot be seen by blinded eyes.

Through myth and mysticism, hypnotically blinded subjects worship the irrational while attacking the simple Truth. Their lives are the epitome of BASSACKWARDS. Driven by positive imagery (illusion), they are caused to commit the most horrendous acts upon their own human family, regardless of the color of their skin or geographic location -- all in the name of a "fictional god," a god which exists only in their limited thought-structured Intellect. Such blind believers are incapable of direct resonance with the Divine Intelligence that is God -- the essence of the Infinite, well beyond the grasp of thought.

Any serious look into the formulations of worldly religions will provide ample proof of the gullibility of blind believers.

Although Truth invariably leads to the obvious, the blind are tempted through outside titillation of a sensated Intellect and are moved and motivated via pleasure and pain.

The Spiritually Blinded are mind controlled Robots, directed by remote authority. They do not understand yet they do experience that such hypnotic spells require constant reinforcement, constant repetition. Is it any wonder why you folks hold the world view dictated to you by your government, your media?

If you have read this far, you KNOW all this, don't you? But what does that KNOWLEDGE do for you? Does it set you free? You are well aware of what it does in fact. It keeps you on the eternal treadmill of acquiring knowledge which necessarily prevents direct action from being taken in the same moment that KNOWLEDGE is being entertained by the mind.

LIFE IS IN THE MOMENT. LIFE REQUIRE DIRECT ACTION.

THOUGHT, THE PRODUCT OF A DEAD AFTERMOMENT, IMPEDES ACTION.

Look at the popularity of RADIO TALK SHOWS, both mainstream and alternative. It doesn't matter what they call themselves, or their subject matter, they are both SATANIC, for they bind an audience to endless go-nowhere talk, thereby preventing the direct perception that a direct action is necessary to resolve the problems they can only talk about. The audience can be sedated or whipped up into a state of volatility. It doesn't matter which because, as long as they are kept in the reactionary milieu of talk, NO ACTION not approved by the MIND CONTROLLERS is possible.

It is when the TYRANNY of SATANIC thought is in its final stages and death and destruction adopt the civilized image of "Population Control", the once secure, codependent, mind controlled dufus is spurred on to actual violence through armed revolution, for they are BASSACKWARDS, they have nothing to gain and everything to lose. The Rise and Fall of Civilizations. It has been going on since the beginning of time. Yet NO ONE sees the obvious.

The Flaw of Civilization lies in its SATANIC ORIGIN of a Thought Controlled world. It is the Free Man, the Spiritually Sighted, the Simple Man of Truth who sees what nobody else sees, or at least will admit to seeing.

He sees MILLIONS of people controlled by a few people who comprise the remote hypnotic authority which wields such vast SATANIC power over their fellow man.

The millions are kept subservient and enslaved by the few through the subtle suggestion of SELF-DOUBT. Make a man doubt himself, and you have a slave on your hands. Make the mass population of a country doubt itself, and you have a country of slaves on your hands. Make a world doubt itself, and you have the world-dominating SATANIC INSTITUTION which calls itself the NEW WORLD ORDER.

In these united states of America, the People are said to be Sovereign -- the government, its servant. It is only through mind control and self-doubt that SOVEREIGNS can be made to "think" they are slaves. America is experiencing that curse NOW!!

THE SOLUTION: The Spell must be broken and not replaced with another "reconditioning spell." In that moment of pristine, clarity, the Sovereign people will understand the true powerlessness of the SATANIC FEW.

Only as INDIVIDUAL Sons and Daughters of God, simple men and women of Truth, standing side by side, shoulder to shoulder, will such expressed direct action dispell the Satanic Mantle which lies so heavily upon the human intellect.

NO ORGANIZATION IS NECESSARY!

I have led you to the waters of Truth. IT'S TIME TO GET WET!!
