Just when we think, “It can’t get any worse,” once again I am proven wrong.
It can’t get any worse in our fair state that now has no respect for life’s beginnings nor its endings. Not with rampant abortions and doctor-assisted self-murder. With the situation of those able to even ask their doctor to be a part to murder and ignore the “do no harm” the Left has outdone themselves yet one more time.
Plus there is the support of one of our largest newspapers, “The Oregonian,” and the ACLU, plus our state’s “Supreme Court,” (supreme at what?) now finding that live-action sex acts are protected by the Constitution, under the freedom-of-expression clause.
This is the same ACLU that is defending pro bono/free of charge, the man arrested for the rape and murder of a New England boy of 8. This “man?” is a member of an organization called NAMBLA, North American Boy Love Association. This sick bunch’s motto on their Web site (or was when I checked), “Sex Before Eight, or it’s Too Late.”
I’ll let you fill in the blanks for whom they mean, “it is too late?” Is this is the only way these guys are able to have any “offspring,” by forced turning?
This lets you know who and what this outfit truly stands for, “Anti-Christ-Lawyer’s Union,” because they defend the “anything goes,” but they all react as if they just received a collective wedgie when they hear or read anything Judeo-Christian, in any public place. Guess what? So does Satan.
Fellow Oregonians should wonder what will be next. Shall our law-creating courts find that after all these years, by golly it is Constitutional under freedom of expression, for any two humans, to have sex, whenever and wherever, they want?
Or how about two same-sex couples, doing so, right in front of you and yours, while you sit on a park bench? Or when will bestiality be found to be legal?
Where, I ask, will this “anything goes,” downslide in the gutter, stop, or must it bring us all into the cesspool? Who, among our Founding Fathers wrote, “For those who trade security for freedom, deserve neither”?

Out my kitchen window, 100 yards away, I see the area owned by Rough & Ready Lumber Co. This slope was logged last year.On the morning of Friday, Oct. 14, a controlled burn occurred, even with 30 mph winds predicted.
I was appalled that authorization by the Oregon Dept. of Forestry was not canceled. My calls and conversations with local forestry and fire personnel indicated that they too were surprised that the burn was allowed. A shift in wind would have been a disaster.

Fire districts and departments are normally trained and paid to control fires, not to order the citizenry around with guns. I saw no mention of training in the paper. However, our going-out-of-office sheriff has seen fit to turn over a portion of his law enforcement duties to the fire district, an act that should tell us something about county law enforcement.
What are our intrepid armed firemen going to do the next time they encounter an irate home owner with a shotgun -- whip out a sidearm and shoot him? Any fire department I ever heard of moves back when faced with a law enforcement problem, and waits until property authority has cleared the situation.
What happens if and when one of these firemen actually shoots somebody on purpose or by accident or gets himself shot, and the wrongful death legal fight begins? Who is going to be the responsible party, the sheriff or fire department?
I have been here for a lot of years and don’t remember voting to give the fire district authority to make policy decisions regarding what I do with or on my property. Who gave them permission to decide how much slash I can burn at one time?
Who authorized them to issue permits and enforce those requirements and citations? Where did they get the authority to enforce a ban on fireworks in the valley?
Apparently it was the fire marshal who decided that my five-gallon propane tanks should only hold four gallons, and actually issued orders to the suppliers to that effect. What actual Oregon laws or administrative rules are being enforced, or do they just make up their own laws and rules as they go along?
But the bottom-line question is who decides what laws these firemen with guns are qualified to enforce, and when to enforce them? And what do you do if and when a fire truck with red lights and siren going pulls you over for speeding?
Law enforcement officers are trained to enforce laws; firemen are trained to put out fires. If a police officer finds a fire, he phones for firemen. If a fireman finds what looks like a crime he should phone the police department like any other citizen.
I also find it interesting that “I.V. News” stated that BLM intends to burn slash during the fall and winter months. I wonder if they plan on doing it four feet at a time with a permit from the gunslingers.

I am appalled by the actions of our sheriff and fire chief, handing out guns to fire district personnel.The next time someone shoves a shotgun in the chief’s face, what is he going to do, fire first? I think that fire first should mean “put out the fire first.”
When I was a volunteer firefighters, we had our pockets full with flashlights, radios, and first aid and safety equipment. Will these armed, paid personnel be entering burning buildings with loaded weapons?
Do you hand your pistol to the first volunteer that you see, and then attack the blaze? What in blazes goes on here?
If current trends continue, look for armed postal workers defending themselves from those who would fold, spindle or mutilate junk mail. Look for armed meter readers, telephone repairmen, and maybe even Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Or just say, “No,” to this aggressive misuse of public power; rescind a dangerous new policy; and remind the chief that he is escalating, not diminishing, the threat of violence.
